Cancer Immunotherapy; A New Ray Of Hope

More than two thirds of deaths occur due to Non-Communicable diseases like Heart diseases, Cancers, Diabetes and Obesity. Cancer is second most common cause of death.

Surgery, Radiation and Chemotherapy are traditional methods of treating cancers, but they do not cure cancer in most cases. A lot of normal tissue damage also occurs while removing, burning or poisoning cancer cells.

Immunotherapy seems to be a way to treat cancer care by boosting our own body’s resistance to deal with cancer cells. Some cancers are treated with this method successfully. President Jimmy Carter at age 91 had melanoma that had spread. With Immunotherapy treatment he is now declared “cancer free”. This seems to be first ray of hope of curing cancers.
